Investing in Our Community's Future
A Community Improvement District (CID) is a self-taxing district created by commercial property owners who choose to invest in improvements within their community. The Albany Westover CID was formed to enhance the economic vitality and quality of life throughout the district.
Our mission is to partner with local governments, property owners and community stakeholders to fund and implement projects that improve safety, enhance mobility and connectivity, and create a more attractive environment for business growth.

Our strategic Initiatives
The Albany Westover CID focuses on four key areas to enhance the district and support business growth.
Mobility & Connectivity
Improving transportation infrastructure, pedestrian safety and multi-modal connectivity throughout the district to make it easier for residents, workers and visitors to navigate the area.
Public Safety
Partnering with local law enforcement and implementing safety measures including improved lighting, security cameras and enhanced police presence to create a secure environment.
Infrastructure
Upgrading roads, sidewalks, drainage systems and utilities to support existing businesses and attract new development while improving the overall district infrastructure.
Beautification
Enhancing the visual appeal of the district through landscaping, streetscaping, signage improvements and public art installations that create an inviting atmosphere.
